Nicola and Tom’s wedding blew my little mind! When they got in touch as they were planning their day, from the onset I knew it was going to be a wedding to remember. They sounded amazing, their plans sounded ace and it was going to take place at one of the most amazing spots in Wales. Then when they said their woodland fforest wedding was going to be filled with music, singing and that they were organising to have ‘rockaoke’, I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive!
They chose the magical-escape-from-it-all oasis of fforest, deep in the Welsh countryside. Just near to Cardigan it is well within the reach of the sea and weddings at fforest tend to last all weekend, so plenty of things to do. But as you park your car and walk up the track through the trees, you know you are somewhere magical and you probably won’t ever want to leave. When the track opens up to the amazing tipi with a magical view of the sunset over the hills and the log fires are already burning and the kettle on, it feels like heaven.
Saturday morning woke up bright and sunny and the day was beautiful. Niki and Tom had their friends and family gather in the tipi for their humanist ceremony that included a singalong, smiles all round and bubbles on the way back down the aisle. The incredible Cardigan RFC Male Choir sang for guests over champagne, a surprise for Nicola on the day. It was a full day of relaxing and eating (and a particularly delicious Cheese cake from Caws Cenarth and late night dancing. We wandered through the woodlands for photos, enjoyed some quiet time in the amazing garden and even the veggie patch and rejoined guests for an epic night of rockaoke!
And when your guest are pretty darn talented and they can sing like the best of them, it makes for a cracking night! Capturing Niki and Tom’s day was such a delicious treat!
I’m thrilled to have been hand picked and asked by fforest to join them as part of a special photography offer for 2017 couples who book one of their available dates in 2017 with them. Head over to their website to find out more here.
