Today feels like a perfect day to share with you Camilla and Edward’s glorious Saunton Sands Hotel intimate wedding. I wrote this post once already but it started with stories about the weather the day before their wedding and the journey to Devon (remember the March snows!?) but I don’t want to bring that too much to the post. Because this beautiful, Winters day wedding was so utterly filled with sun shine people.
Anyone who knows me and my work knows that I love every kind of wedding and intimate weddings are, in my view, something so special. When Edward and Camilla got in touch with me to enquire about photography for their day I just knew it was going to be a wonder to capture.
For a couple that love the sea it made absolute sense to be married by it. They chose the delicious Saunton Sands Hotel to host their day with friends and family and I loved that Camilla chose to wear a stunning green dress and she looked utterly incredible. Edward and Camilla walked hand in hand down the isle together (joy!) and they were even up for some portraits on the beach (last weather mention… it was freezing!) before sitting down to speeches which were beautiful and a delicious dinner. I was only with Edward and Camilla and their friends and family for three hours that day but I felt like I had enjoyed their whole day with them. Such a beautiful intimate wedding and one I left, saying my goodbye with huge hugs and a smile on my face all the way back to Cornwall.
