Josie and Jeff were married on the tiny island of Valentia, just off the coast of Ireland. Their day was filled with family, love and laughter and special personal touches. From the beautiful invites and save the dates made from a painting that Jeff’s Aunt created of the islands lighthouse, to the fact that Josie and Jeff decided to get married in the Church that her great, great Grandfather was once the vicar. From the personalised necklace that Josie wore to the gin inspired posters on the walls of the reception room  (a nod to Josie’s appreciation of the good stuff) and the Reese’s Pieces on the sweetie table (a nod to Jeff’s Boston roots).

Getting ready at  her family holiday home, Josie was surrounded by her best friends, nieces, sisters, Mum and Dad. The house was brimming with activity as they all did their own hair and makeup. As Josie got into her beautiful dress, created for he in London by designer Suzannah, her bridesmaids struggled to hold back the tears. Her incredible pheasant plume millinery was Emily Baxendale. I could not stop looking at it, it was truly an amazing! Josie has incredible style and she finished her look with her colourful rings and her grandmothers vintage shrug.

It was a short stroll down the road with her dad to be met at the gates of St John the Baptist church with all her favourite girls waiting. She walked down the aisle to meet a beaming Jeff and what followed was a heartfelt, personal ceremony conducted by her Godfather and Sister. The bridal party finished the service singing Josie and Jeff up the aisle to Lean on Me. Goosebumps on everyone’s arms!

Then it was another wander back down the road to The Royal … the towns main hotel and a fab one at that. With locals propping up the bar in the other room, taking a peek when they could, you were never far off feeling like you were very much at home on this happy little island. The Skellig Rock room was beautifully decorated by Pearl and Godiva and Annie from Aislinn Events kept the day running smoothly as well as created floral masterpieces!

The party went late on into the evening as Josie and Jeff’s family, who had travelled from as far as the US, came together to celebrate their wonderful marriage. They were blessed with a magical sunset and the party and dancing started to the very suitable Home by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros… honestly a more perfect song I cannot think of.  The whole day was truly amazing to be a part of and I am so excited to share with you their images.

Josie and Jeff, you are fabulous! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience and allowing me to capture your day!

What would be the collective noun for this awesome lot? I have no idea but this was surely the largest?
