Fforest Wedding | Gareth & Rachel
So after a lovely evening on Friday and the festivities of Willowstock, Saturday morning rolled around. It was warm, it was dry and it was perfect for a fforest wedding!
Not only were two of the cutest people about to tie the knot in a sea of smiling faces of lovely family and friends, the considered detail in Gareth and Rachel’s handmade, festival inspired wedding was utter perfection. Almost everything was hand created in the run up to the wedding by family. From bunting made from dresses Rachel wore when she was a little girl and handpainted stones with everyones names on them to a ceremony backdrop made of fabric hearts, all individually made by Rachel’s mum. Hand drawn invites, the cake decorated by Gareth’s Mum and her handmade Welsh cake favours. Nothing was forgotten and even dogs were invited.
DOGS as guests! I was in heaven!
I could honestly write a whole book on their amazing day, but I genuinely don’t actually know where to start. I love looking back at these images and remembering all the different moments of their day. There is something about the relaxed format of Fforest Wedding s that make for an incredibly special, chilled out day. Guests enjoyed games on the grass and chill out time in the shade with a cold beer. We could take walks through the surrounding woodlands or just sit and eat our way through a pile of cakes and treats for afternoon tea. Every moment of the day was beautiful and Charis and I struggled to say goodbye! I left Wales on Sunday with a very happy heart, saying goodbye to friends who I just adore.
Rachel and Gareth… you two, and your gorgeous friends and families, rocked my world! Always remember, Cwtch. x
It is with huge thanks to the lovely Charis Warrell who came along to second shoot with me. We spent most of the day in awe of what was in front of us, squeaking like children at everything in sight and walking around with eyes like saucers trying to capture everything we could see around us!
